Meet Ashley
She founded True Potential Therapy in 2020 with the main focus of providing mobile outpatient therapy in assisted living facilities and in homes. She graduated from Husson University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. She is originally from Madawaska, ME and is proud of the hard working mentality of people from “the county.”
As the company expanded over the past several years it has led to the opening of an outpatient therapy clinic located at Eastern Maine Sports Academy in Veazie, ME. This growth in the company encompasses her two passions, sports and the elderly population. While she primarily treats outside the clinic she has put together a smart, enthusiastic team of therapists. She has been providing services in assisted living facilities in the Greater Bangor Area for the past nine years. She is Dementia Certified and enjoys working in several local memory care units.
Ashley and her husband, Zac, enjoy attending sports games, traveling, spending time outdoors. Their daughter, Harper, is sure to keep the adventures coming!
Meet Chris
Meet Chris, he is our DPT located at our outpatient location in Veazie. He is a certified Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer who specializes in sports and orthopedic injuries. He is originally from Frenchville and grew up in northern Aroostook County.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree from UNE in 2016 becoming a certified Athletic Trainer, and has been a Per Diem Athletic Trainer for Husson University ever since. He then went on to obtain his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Husson University in 2019 and has been treating throughout the central Maine region since.
He currently resides in Brewer and enjoys spending time with friends, watching and playing numerous sports, and being outdoors as much as possible. He is looking forward to helping our patients with their acute and chronic injuries so they can function at their True Potential!
Meet Katy
She is an Occupational Therapist who joined the True Potential Therapy team in November of 2021. She is originally from Augusta, Maine but has lived in the Bangor area since 2014. In 2019, she graduated from Husson University with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Studies.
Katy has recently been promoted to, Rehab Manager. She is organized, motivated and a great communicator making her a great leader. Katy began her OT career working in pediatric mental health but has always had a passion for working with adults and older adults to improve overall safety and independence with all daily activities to promote a greater quality of life throughout the aging process. Katy enjoys working with her patients to improve balance, strengthening, various upper extremity conditions, safety during transfers, and finding innovative solutions to everyday challenges.
Outside of work, Katy enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, traveling, watching hockey, and participating in obstacle course races throughout the year.
Meet Amelia
Meet Amelia, she is a Physical Therapist who graduated from Husson University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016 and a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology in 2014. She has a passion for working with seniors and has spent several years working in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Home Health.
Her therapy focus is to help her patients improve and maintain strength, balance, and overall functional mobility through engaging exercises and activities.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and new baby. She also loves reading, running, and spending time outside by the water.
Meet Kendra
She is an Occupational Therapist who joined the True Potential Therapy team in August of 2023. Her passion for working in adult rehabilitation emerged while completing her clinical fieldwork with us during the summer of 2022, as she finished her OT degree! She grew up locally in Levant and now resides in Hermon.
In 2023, she graduated from Husson University with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, along with her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and Public Health. She is also a certified LSVT Big clinician, specializing in the treatment of the Parkinson’s population.
Kendra is determined to help her patients identify the things in life that give them joy and fulfillment. She then uses holistic treatment approaches to help her patients regain their joy and quality of life through greater participation, performance, and independence in life’s activities. Whether it’s strengthening, endurance, balance, or ADL retraining, Kendra is ready to help you get back to doing the things you love most.
Outside of work, Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, Sunny, playing a variety of games with her friends and family, going for walks, traveling, and cooking.
